O International Cybersecurity Workshop: Digital Frontiers It included the participation of Prof. Dr. Benedito Cristiano Aparecido Petroni, who presented the session “Network Forensics PracticeThis presentation deepened the understanding of the techniques and tools used in identifying and investigating incidents in network environments.
A Network forensics is a fundamental pillar of modern cybersecurity. It consists of methods and processes that allow for the reconstruction of events, identification of attack sources, and preservation of digital evidence essential for technical and legal investigations. During the practical session, Professor Petroni will cover key concepts of network forensics and the tools and procedures used for capturing and analyzing data packets.
Furthermore, the session bridged the gap between theory and practice, providing participants with the opportunity to understand the actual workflow of a forensic analysis and its applications in cybersecurity scenarios.
This practice is part of the Workshop's commitment to offering experiences that strengthen technical training and broaden the dialogue between students, teachers, professionals, and researchers dedicated to digital defense and forensic investigation.
